Three days after communal clashes broke out in Haryana's Nuh after a mob tried to stop a Vishwa Hindu Parishad procession, an unease calm prevailed in the district.
Police said no fresh violence has been reported after the initial incident that was reported on Monday, July 31. Security forces have been deployed in all areas and police are on high alert in Haryana and other violence-hit areas.
Meanwhile, internet and SMS services in Nuh, Faridabad, and Palwal as well as areas of Gurugram such as Sohna, Pataudi and Manesar have been partially restored. A total of 116 arrests have been made in connection with the communal clashes. All of the people arrested are in police custody.
The clashes that broke out in Nuh on Monday spread to parts of Gurugram and other nearby areas. At least six people died in the clashes.
